About the Artist
Bea Nettles (American, b. 1946) is an artist and educator known for her innovative use of photographic processes. Her work, often incorporating cyanotype and Van Dyke printing, explores personal narratives, memory, and symbolism. Nettles' experimentation with alternative techniques has influenced generations of photographers and artists. Her works are held in major collections across the United States, and she has published several books on photography, including her well-known 'Breaking the Rules: A Photo Media Cookbook'.
