About the Artist
Ethel Fisher was an abstract painter based in Miami and served as president of the Artists Equity Association of Florida during the late 1950s. She studied under Will Barnet and maintained close friendships with prominent figures in the art world, including Paul Thek, Custis Brooks, and Henry Pearson. Fisher's work often reflects her deep connection to the abstract expressionist movement, and her contributions to the artistic community in Florida were significant during her time.
